You've heard of speed dating! Well the Leicester Business Event has partnered up with Hi 2 Events to bring you speed networking. A faster and more reliable way to meet new contacts and form stronger business relationships, with many local and regional business delegates attending this event.
What better way to meet new contacts and increase your customer base? If you're serious about making new contacts and growing your client base, you should register for our speed networking sessions and ensure that you bring plenty of business cards.
You have 60 seconds to promote your business and exchange information with the person sitting opposite you, before moving along to the next candidate who eagerly awaits you. Places are limited so will only be allocated to those who pre register and confirm their booking by checking in at the Hi 2 Events stand 30 minutes before your session.You will meet up to 18 other delegates and you will leave the session with a selection of business contacts. Then it’s up to you to arrange the follow up call.
Please note only one person, per company can register for each session. In busy periods the Hi 2 Events management has the right to refuse entrance to people who have previously participated in a Speed Networking session.

5 Top Tips for Speed Networking
- Take plenty of business cards: You want to give out cards as well as receive them.
- Listen to each individual: You only have 60 seconds to make an impact.
- Concentrate: Speed Networking can be tiring, but you will reap the rewards.
- Take Notes: There’s a lot to take in, so write details on the back of business cards.
- Follow Up: Don’t be afraid to call your new contacts or refer them on to someone else.

Karl Craig-West is a trainer, business adviser and professional speaker who has advised a variety of small and medium sized companies throughout the Midlands.
He has been responsible for starting 3 networking groups and has been very influential in the East Midlands networking circuit as a marketing speaker and adviser. He also runs www.networkingclubs.co.uk which is a directory of business networking clubs.
